brianj Posted 12 January , 2006 Share Posted 12 January , 2006 Hi I am trying to find some information about my grandfather. All I know at the moment is that he was stationed at a school in Wallsend (Tyne & Wear) when he married my grandmother in 1916. I think his regimental number was 9664 and some time later he was in the Labour Corps where his number was 185475. Can anybody help or point me in the right direction to find out about his war? Terry Denham Posted 12 January , 2006 Share Posted 12 January , 2006 Brian You can download his Medal Index Card from here (£3.50) http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documen...&resultcount=10 The document you download is the index card to his entry in the medal rolls (held at the NA) and may give you further details. The fact that he has a MIC suggests that he served overseas at some point.
