Hi Robert.

You pretty much have all the details in your signiture.

MIC for...

Pte 7217 Hugh Carrigan

2nd Scottish Rifles

Landed in France 5th Nov 1914

The Top Righthand corner shows his medal entitlement which is as follows.

1914 Star, British War Medal (BWM), Victory Medal (VM).

A "Standard" 1914 Star Trio.

The Roll "Code" stated as D 103 B2 relates to the actual medal roll held at the NA in Kew, this particular code also relates to the 2nd Scottish Rifles. The page remark is simply the page within the said roll, on which the entry appears.

The Remarks section simply states "K in A" (Killed in Action).

Oh... and it's No bother... :)

Hope this Helps.

Mark.

Thank you Mark for the information it helps me put into the family tree for Hugh. As I do not have anything else about him as all the family living since I started the family tree are younger than me and I never knew my grandfather Hugh's brother he died inn 1924.

Thanks again Mark

Robert (Hudggy)
