Guest Jenny C Posted 10 January , 2006 Share Posted 10 January , 2006 Lieutenant-Engineer William George Robertson (c1854-1910) was aboard the 'Yarra' as she sailed into Port Phillip on 9th December 1910. He suffered a heart attack, fell over board, and could not be revived. Could William be considered the first casualty of the Australian Navy? I know the Naval Defence Act wasn't passed until 25th November 1910. Has anyone a list of Navy casualties? Can't get any response from official channels.
