gnr.ktrha Posted 7 January , 2006 Share Posted 7 January , 2006 Hello, Does anyone have a copy of the above book ? What sort of nformation is in it ? Are any of the following nurses listed in it, Elsie RT Bonar VAD, Hugh Kelly BRCS, Winifred Ronaldson VAD & Janet S B Urguhart BRCS Thanks for looking, Stewart
royalredcross Posted 7 January , 2006 Share Posted 7 January , 2006 On a quick glance through, I cannot find Bonar or Ronaldson. Hugh Kelly is lisyed as a Chauffeur , Certificate No. 12761, Passport No. 152686 serving at Rouen. Dept for reference is "Scottish", so I presume this means the Scottish BRCS. Janet Sadleir B. Urquhart is lised as a Nursing Sister , cert no. 16063, passport no. 183556 also serbign with the Scottish Red Cross at Rouen. Norman
gnr.ktrha Posted 7 January , 2006 Author Share Posted 7 January , 2006 Hello, Thank you very much for taking the time to look them up. I knew nothing about them except that Janet S B Urquhar, on her MIC was ''Army Nursing Service May 1915-March 1917, Sister'' and that she entered France on the 20.03.1918. I also have a copy of her birth certificate. Do you have any idea what sort of job Hugh Kelly would have done ? Many thanks once again, Stewart
christine liava'a Posted 9 January , 2006 Share Posted 9 January , 2006 (edited) Does this book show where people came from- which country? If so, I have some queries. Christine PS On re-reading its title, is it a list of British Red cross personnel serving overseas, or a list of overseas personnel serving in the British Red Cross? Andrew Hesketh Posted 9 January , 2006 Share Posted 9 January , 2006 Norman, I don't want to take advantage (well actually I do but I take abusive refusals pretty well!) but I have 13 names that I would appreciate a look up for. If you would be willing please let me know and I'll PM them to you. If not, fair enough. All the best, Andrew
