davidfegga Posted 6 January , 2006 Share Posted 6 January , 2006 Hi all Am researching the history and service of 175 (Staffordshire) Bgde RFA. I have all the war diaries, but wondered if anyone knew anything about the above officer who was their Commander from July 1916. Would his service papers likely to have survived, as I've seen somewhere that Officers records are more or less intact? Any help appreciated. Steven Broomfield Posted 6 January , 2006 Share Posted 6 January , 2006 Bit more from Who's Who: born Simla, 7.7.76; commissioned RFA 1896, served France, Belgium, Italy, Rhine, Mesopotamia 1920 (despatched, medal). m 1928 (or possibly 23 - typeface a bit iffy!) Joan Francis Lulie Morris, one daughter (as W'sW was the 1928 version, this makes a 1923 marriage more likely - in those days they married before breeding!!). Recreations riding and shootin; Club Naval & Military
