Night Burial

Soren

Recommended Posts

I must say that is a super piece of art Soren - if you don't mind me saying so it looks very much 'of the time' in that it reminds me of the some of the art done by WW1 servicemen and published in the few regimental histories I own.

I like the last one, it has mood.

Hi Kim,

This is an old one, but probably more appropriate to your location: 'An Aussie left behind Ypres 1917'

Yep, that's exactly what I think too about Soren's work, definite period feel

All good but prefer the latter one (the night burial with washes). Excellent!

Soren, your usual standard!

But I did think the last one had more of a night time feel to it.

Perhaps more nite-like! with washes:

That's the one that suggests night most, Soren.(Post 4) Really makes that drawing, well done.
