John_Hartley Posted 5 January , 2006 Share Posted 5 January , 2006 Pals, My chap died of wounds shortly after arriving at a CCS in Amiens during the afternoon of 22 October. Anyone got a War Diary or Regimental History and can do me a quick look-up please. I presume he wouldnt have been injured prior to the 21st. Unfortunately the regimental history (Whalley-Kelley) only says from 3rd Oct onwards... ... From now until the end of the year there is little to record from the Battalion point of view. In fact both sides were engaged in fighting the elements as much as each other, and trying to combat the ravages wrought by alternate frost and rain. Dave.
