Recommeded Camp Sites - Amiens/Albert Region

Can anyone recommend a family friendly campsite in the Amiens/Alberts region? We are going to Euro-Disney in May and as part of the holiday I've managed to convince the missus to stay for a few days in the Somme area (Dad's got to play too!!). Location isn't too important, though the nearer to Alberts the better.

Thanks

This sort of question has been raised on the Forum more than once in the past years- have you tried the 'search' facility?

There is a site at Authuille, I think, but whether it is family friendly I leave to others.

Camping Bellevue in Authuille is a simple, pleasant, friendly and pretty site. The camping bays are large, the washrooms adequate, although there is only hot water in the showers and there are two restaurants in the village, one attached to the site (but not just the campsite restaurant) & one by the Ancre, a five minute walk. I have stayed there with my children, and without, now they've gone and would recommend it. PLease contact me off forum if you want more detail.

There is another municipal site at Peronne.

The campsite in Albert is very 'family friendly' mate. Very cheap and close to all the major sites. Hot showers and the whole kit. I'd recommend it. Most prefer the site at Authuille- but as a regular I'll give it a plug!
