I am trying to find information about my Grandfather Alf White (Blanco) who served in the RGA in the first world war from 1914 to 1918. He also served in Alexandria, Egypt in 1920 and Roorkee, India in 1923. I have his 3 WW1 medals from which I have taken his service number 41497.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Peter,

Welcome to the forum.

Not much can be gleaned from a regular army number so dont expect too many responses to this one. However, as he was still in the army in 1923 his service record should still be with the army rather than the NA.

Drop this mob a line and hopefully they will come up with something.
