Muerrisch Posted 1 January , 2006 Share Posted 1 January , 2006 I have discovered that I do not have a Peace Establishment breakdown for an SR battalion c. 1914 before war declared. I know that a peace SR battalion numbered over 500 and less than 600 INCLUDING regular officers and soldiers attached [a fair number of these]. I have no detailed figures, but I bet someone has. Please, as a New Year offering to Captain Grumpy [now released from merely playing the Mobile Field Brothel piano, having been found Not Guilty of various charges which shall not be publicised for 50 years]. Graham Stewart Posted 1 January , 2006 Share Posted 1 January , 2006 Langley, Will send all as soon as time permits from Army Orders of 23rd December 1907 including the Appendixes entitled "Scheme for the provision, organization & training of the Special Reserve required to supplement the Regular Army, and the application of the scheme to the existing Militia".
