liverpool annie Posted 1 January , 2006 Share Posted 1 January , 2006 Does anybody know what happened on this day ? 29 March 1918 the 1st Royal Dublin Fusiliers on the Somme According to the War Diary - on 29 March 1918 the 1st Royal Dublin Fusiliers had some problems in that 130 men refused to carry wire up to the line. It says it is not known what happened to these men. This man died on that day Private JOHN McINERNEY 28272, 1st Bn., Royal Dublin Fusiliers who died age 21 on 29 March 1918 Son of James McInerney.
