Does anybody know what happened on this day ?

29 March 1918 the 1st Royal Dublin Fusiliers on the Somme

According to the War Diary - on 29 March 1918 the 1st Royal Dublin Fusiliers had some problems in that 130 men refused to carry wire up to the line. It says it is not known what happened to these men.

This man died on that day

Private JOHN McINERNEY

28272, 1st Bn., Royal Dublin Fusiliers

who died age 21

on 29 March 1918

Son of James McInerney.

Remembered with honour

Any help would be appreciated!
