Jacob Posted 31 December , 2005 Share Posted 31 December , 2005 How would I find out when Harry L. DEWAR of the 26th (Yankee) Division was awarded the French Croix de Guerre with Gilt Star? What is meant by Hq. Troop, 26th Div? I also found that Harry DEWAR was awared the Croix de Guerre when as a dispatch rider he delivered a message to a French General. Thanks. Jacob Posted 31 December , 2005 Author Share Posted 31 December , 2005 Hi Andy. Yes, that is a good picture but a different DEWAR. I am looking for info on Harry DEWAR now. Thanks. Bill
andigger Posted 1 January , 2006 Share Posted 1 January , 2006 OPPS! I recognized the last name, did think about the first name though. Although I thought it was odd that if he had won the Croix de Guerre that it wasn't mentioned on the marker. Andy
