Landsturm Posted 30 December , 2005 Share Posted 30 December , 2005 So, the year is closing and we welcome 2006... and so far we have seen many Great "Great War" art pieces in MGWAT, since we started in... what month was it? Anyway, (to Soren1915; ) I think our idea of this thread wasn`t too bad at all! But now it`s time for a new title; "A letter from home to Hell" As usual my suggestions tell very little about the subject (thus we have lots of different viewpoints). Quickly! Put your sketchbooks to work! Regards, Corporal Koivurinne (Armour Jäger Coy)

roger Posted 31 December , 2005 Share Posted 31 December , 2005 (edited) Landsturm, you could have made it easier for Spike and had " Where's it gone" as the title. Roger. Edited 31 December , 2005 by roger

Soren Posted 8 January , 2006 Share Posted 8 January , 2006 My effort, had to do it rather niftyly(?) as I'm at work, probably kitsch but, a dead fusilier @ Passchendaele letter from home to hell in hand.
egbert Posted 8 January , 2006 Share Posted 8 January , 2006 Spike you know what you are doing here? You should not write a "Dear John" letter to the front!!!!! It’s devastating for the recipient’s morale. Dear John -letters are the most feared by the soldiers -you know why?

Tim Godden Posted 26 January , 2006 Share Posted 26 January , 2006 Hi Pals, Here is my offering for this month. Did any one else have a problem uploading them this time? It has taken about 10 days for it to actually work. Nevermind, good luck to all the entrants. Cheers, Tim

DaveBrigg Posted 28 January , 2006 Share Posted 28 January , 2006 That's brilliant Landsturm. Starting at the top, it shows so clearly three stages of a soldier's experience. It deserves to hang on a wall somewhere.
Landsturm Posted 28 January , 2006 Author Share Posted 28 January , 2006 Thank you all! Starting at the top, it shows so clearly three stages of a soldier's experience. Well spotted Fighting, being wounded and eventually to become a part of the battlefield...
