REGIMENT - BATTALION INFORMATION

Hello: I'am trying to find some information on the regiment my grandfather was in during WW 1. He was from Amherst, Nova Scotia. Enlisted 3-1-1917 - discharged 4-10-1919 - he was a private in the Royal Canadiam regiment 24th Atholl Battalion was in Belgium & France. That is all the information I have to this point. I'am planning to send for his military records but would like to know if anyone out there may know of this regiment - I have not been able to find any information on line. I would greatly appreciate any help or direction. Thanks to all Sandi
