Pte W H Tallon 96322 He was Liverpool Regiment then North Staffs Reg.His MIC gives these numbers F/104/B15 page 1920.Would looking this up give me his actual Bat/Coy of his Unit? Would there be Unit Nominals still available? Any help most grateful. Ady
HarryBettsMCDCM Posted 24 December , 2005 Share Posted 24 December , 2005 Possibly, some do,some don't,from his number it would appear that he was a Conscript & consequently only in receipt of the BWM & Victory Medal, the Roll pages for these are less likely to have Battalion Numbers on them but you never know:have you tried looking for his Service Papers?again only around 30% survive but you may be one of the lucky ones!
