TD60 Posted 23 December , 2005 Share Posted 23 December , 2005 Maybe some forum members wil be intersted to see this photo : sorry for the quality; the maximal size need to save it to a low quality level. This memorial is located in Saint Nazaire (Btritanny, France), exaclty in the entry of a museum instaled in one of the enormous bunkers builtby the Germans for their submaries in WW2. I have no detail when this plaque was originaly installed and where. The "colors" of the plaque give the idea it was outside. Seems to be before WW2, but I think germans could/should have use it for metal during WW2. Maybe it was 'hidden'. Maybe some could add details. ianw Posted 23 December , 2005 Share Posted 23 December , 2005 If someone has a copy of the relevant divisional history "The Old Red Patch", no doubt it will tell us where they arrived.
