Guest Lori Posted 24 August , 2003 Share Posted 24 August , 2003 Hi I've just joined this forum and would appreicate any help with trying to find my Grandfathers records. I did enlist the help of a professional researcher, but unfortunately, he wasn't able to find much for me at Kew, but since then I have found out a bit more through other sources. My Grandfather was in the 110th Heavy Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery as a Gunner. I now know he served in Malta (pre war), Salonica and France. Can anyone help with details of the Royal Garrison Artillery Regiment and where I can contact them? I'm hoping their Regimental Musuem/Archives might be able to throw some more light on my Grandfathers records. Thanks for any help at all, Lori
Guest Hill 60 Posted 24 August , 2003 Share Posted 24 August , 2003 Welcome to the Pals. I don't know if the RA Museum (Firepower!) will be able to help you but these are their details: Firepower! John_Hartley Posted 24 August , 2003 Share Posted 24 August , 2003 Lori Firepower is certainly worth a try - but even they are a bit thin on the ground for RGA information. They were very helpful about finding info on my great uncle who served with Royal Field Artillery, but when I went back to ask for some info on a guy who served with an RGA battery, they declined to help - saying it was too time consuming. Might be different seeing as you are looking for a relative - good luck. John
