Lindsey Posted 24 August , 2003 Share Posted 24 August , 2003 My grandfather fought in the Battle of Asiago and was captured on 15th June 1918 . He was held in a POW camp, but i dont know where. I have a photo of him in the camp hospital. He was in the 1/8 Royal Warwicks. I am trying to find out what camp he was held at, was it in Germany or Austria. Does any one out there have any info re POW camps. I have read Prisoners of the Kiaser but didnt gleen any info re those soldiers captured in this battle. Terry Reed has kindly looked in the PRO for me for records of my grandfather, William Leslie Lilly but was not successful sadly. apparently 6 men were captured on that day in 1918. All replies greatly appreciated Lindsey
