The five men above are recorded thus in Soldiers Died. I am looking to find their burials/commemorations, but have been unable to do so on cwgc. Any ideas please?

None of these men seem to be in the CWGC database with those numbers although there are East Lancs men with those names.

However, they all do appear with those numbers in the GRO Overseas Death Index. The following are their reference numbers should you wish to obtain their death certificates - the number makes it cheaper.

BUTLER 17160 I.15.46

BUTTERWORTH 23034 I.15.24

EDGE 19245 I.15.106

LINDSEY (as spelt by GRO) 29110 I.15.203

BROWNHILL 16319 - Oddly this man has two entries and presumably two death certificates! I.15.26 & I.15.9

There could be a number of reasons why they do not appear on CWGC but including the chance that this batch of men was not included in the army list handed over to them at the time.

Have you tried downloading their MICs?
