Hello all,

Have just purchased a small photograph album which belonged to a TM Smith, 13th Coy Royal Engineers. Am trying to track down where they served. There is one group photo which is labelled 13th Coy R.E. (D.O.G.) 1921. He has noted it as being taken at Strensall Camp, York in July 1921. This is a bit after the end of the war but some of the other photos were taken during the campaign. Can anyone shed a light on what DOG stands for?? I am drawing a complete blank!! Would be great to know where he was posted during the war.

Thanks for looking

Andy
