Can anyone help with info on an official letter which states, "in saying goodbye to no365794 pte shenton g 576 labour corps. Is the 576 a coy number or unit nunber etc, the recipient was formerly serving with the Royal fusiliers in the first war.

The official name is probably 576th( ? ?)Coy, Labour Corps. Sorry about the the brackets and question marks, but it's a unit that doesn't appear in the Order of Battle for France & Flanders in November 1918, which suggests it's a Home Forces Labour Corps unit. It could actually be 576th(Home Service)Coy,Labour Corps, but without seeing the Home Forces Orbat I couldn't really say for certain.
