Memorial plaque and parchment scroll

Can anyone please tell me is there a way I can find out if a memorial plaque and/or parchment scroll were claimed by N.O.K.

I assume there must have been some kind of records kept for the issue of these,perhaps similar to the m.i.c.?

Documentation about the issuing of plaques can be found in some officer's record papers at the PRO. Letters checking that addresses were still correct etc.

I have copies of such correspondence for a plaque in my possession (the only one).

I don't know of any 'roll' of the plaque recipients but I am no expert on the subject.
