Can anybody tell me if there is a Sheffield connection on any of the following Fred Crookes

Hi Robert,

According to SDGW, 9897 Sgt Fred CROOKES was born in Walkley, Sheffield, and while living in Sheffield he enlisted at Pontefract. He died of wounds on 14 October 1916.
