Hi

After so much help and information from Forum Pals,I am going to be a nusiance once again.but hopefully It will fit another piece in the jigsaw. Its an enquiry is on the following chap:

9007,L/Cpl Malcolm Macleod MM not DCM,8th Batt Seaforth Highlanders. Kia 20th August 1917.

Malcolm was a full time soldier prior to WW1 and served on the North-West Frontier of India at some point he left the Army went to America, but was recalled when war started.

What I am trying to find out is if he was awarded the IGSM 1908 bar and where I would find information that may lead me to an answer.Once again I would be grateful for any information.

Regards

Stan

If he left the army and went to America he may well have been fully discharged from the Army. If so his pre-war records are possibly in WO97 at the NA and of course his medal entitlement should be in WO100 on Microfiche (listed by regiments).

Steve.
