The Story of the Fourth Army in the battles of the hundred days.

August 8th to November 11th 1918.

By Major General Sir Archibald Montgomery K.C.M.G..C.B.

General Staff, Fourth Army.

I have a copy of the above, produced in 1919 by Hodder and Stoughton

It also has a map case that contains many excellent detailed maps and panoramic photo's.

A mine of detailed information.

The Canadian Expeditionary Force and Australian Imperial Force were both quite active during the Last Hundred Days - any specific references to units of the CEF and AIF regarding the following:

- the Battle of Amiens, the Drocourt-Queant Line, Canal du Nord and the Marquoin Line with Brutinels's Brigade - Canadian Independent Force and the final push to Valenciennes and Mons?

Not a cheap book or set by accounts looking at Abebooks!

Looks good though.

Yes there are many references to both forces. At Divisional, Brigade and Battalion level.

Many pictures and diagrams as well.

There is a great deal to copy, any particular unit you are interested in?

The maps and panoramas are worth the Abebook prices in themselves.

Is there any mention of 150 Siege Artillery Battery? I believe that they were in 14 Brigade and part of teh Australian Corps.

I'm interested in their location / movements / action. My G Granddad was a Gunner.

Thanks
