Hambo,

Does your list have an officer called E. R. Kewley. At the outbreak of war he was with 2nd Battalion Rifle Brigade and rose to be acting Lt. Col by the end of hostilities in 1918.

He later commanded the 5th London Rilfes between 1937 and 1941.

Hello Brian

Kewley, may have served with the 2 R.B at sometime prior to 1914 but i believe he served with the 3 R B throughout the war. may have been Officer Commanding by 1918, retired in 1922 from the Regular Army becoming a director for a brewrey company.

From the post war LRB history.

Happy Xmas

What I meant was that I have a list of officer POWs, sounds like your man made it through without being captured. Looks like Tom has helped you though

All the best Happy Xmas Hambo
