Paul Reed Posted 9 December , 2005 Share Posted 9 December , 2005 This is a new book by a forum member - it is an excellent account of battlefield archaeology from the Brozne Age to the Great War. Some fascinating stuff in the WW1 section, highlighting the work of groups like The Diggers and No Man's Land. Well written, well referenced, and with good illustrations - should be on the bookshelves of anyone with an interest in this subject. Nice also to see an author also say 'thanks' for help from others - and this forum gets a good mention. Jacky Platteeuw Posted 9 December , 2005 Share Posted 9 December , 2005 Paul, Haven't bought the book yet but the cover gives me the shivers. The Royal Welsh Fusilier we found is still on my retina as if it was yesterday!!! This was the highlight of the time I spent with the Diggers.
