Jerrymurland Posted 5 December , 2005 Share Posted 5 December , 2005 (edited) I'm trying to trace an officer in the 1st Herts, Lt. W.H.E.N. Goode. I have a suspicion that he and a Lt. W. Goode are one and the same individual. Their MICs indicate both were in 1st Herts and I know both were later in the Special Reserve of officers in the indian army serving in the 9th Secunderbad division. Does anyone know if there are any examples of one soldier having two cards? Lt. Walter Goode was later convicted of fraud in 1925 and served 9 months hard labour, he then vanishes! Later a Captain Walter Henry Eric Newling-Goode surfaces in the north of England. I have a theory that Walter Goode either assumed the identity of a fellow officewr (unlikely) or just added a few names to his own and set up again elsewhere. Another family mystery to solve........... Jerry Edited 5 December , 2005 by Jerrymurland
