Would appreciate any information on the 373 MT Company RASC to which my Grandfather was attached.

Did find a website listing RASC Coys' but 373 not amongst them.

All I have is his driving licence that states Northern Area Workshops, Newmarket, Suffolk, 21st November 1916.

Also carries an endorsement for " driving at a speed dangerous " with a fine of 20/- ( 20 shillings) !

Grateful for any help, thank you & regards John

From "Army service Corps 1902 to 1918" by Michael Young.

373 Coy ASC was formed on 21 Jun 1915 and disbanded on 30 Jun 1920. It served in England and was based in Colchester, Bedford and Hitchin. It acted as an auxiliary Mechanical Transport Company. No record is kept of its unit sign.
