Milner Posted 4 December , 2005 Share Posted 4 December , 2005 Can anyone help me on this. I have just discovered my grandfather's ww1 mic, this shows he started service in the RAMC and went to France on 24th March 1915, but was then transfered to the Royal Navel Reserve IWD, Royal engineers probably because he was an ex merchant navy officer. So would he have worn a Naval uniform or an Army RE uniform ? thanks Phil

Terry_Reeves Posted 5 December , 2005 Share Posted 5 December , 2005 Phil Does his mic show an RE number? If so, he was tranferred and would have worn an army uniform with RE insignia. Perhaps you could post a copy of his mic. Terry Reeves
