Graham-McAdam Posted 19 August , 2003 Share Posted 19 August , 2003 2nd Lieutenant Donald Gordon McMillan was killed in action 28 September 1918, near Cambrai, having seen action at Gallipoli and the Somme. His father chose to pay for an expensive private grave in the Porte de Paris Cemetery in the town, rather than leaving him to the kind mercies of the IWGC. Father was an 'intrepreneur' from Drumnadrochit by Loch Ness. I wonder if anyone knows if there is still any family remaining in the area whom one could get in touch with? Thanks very much. Jock Bruce Posted 19 August , 2003 Share Posted 19 August , 2003 Graham, You could try cold calling If you go to http://www.bt.com/directory-enquiries/dq_home.jsp enter MacMillan or McMillian - makes no difference - as a name and Drumnadrochit as a place, you'll get telephone numbers for 3 MacMillans in Drumnadrochit.
