Ralph J. Whitehead Posted 2 December , 2005 Share Posted 2 December , 2005 From what I can tell the 11/Highland Light Infantry, or several companies of it, occupied Little Willie in the Hohenzollern Redoubt after the action on 25 September 1915. I am trying to determine what happened afterward. I hvae accounts from the German side regarding the counterattacks and recapture of the trench. Does anyone know if the 11/Highland Light Infantry was still holding the trench in the days following 25 September or if they know of any other unit that took over the trench? Any assistance would be appreciated, thanks. Ralph
