Super model - when was it made?

Yes they are cracking models, they are made by a friend of mine. He is a metal worker. Glad you like it, we thought it quite fitting to take it to the battlefields where the first pioneers of tanks smashed the Hindenburg line !

Does your friend sell these models Julian? I for one would fancy having one of these little beauties on my desk!

Ciao,

GAC

PS - great pic - & the model gives it an extra off-beat twist!

Julian, nice picture and great gesture, I like it very much !!!

In reply of your quote though: "By September 1916, the British had 49 tanks ready to go into action. Only 32 actually made it to the start line on the British side, and only 9 made it across to the German lines and accomplished anything." = not so cracking real ones <_<

Julian,

great model,

sorry didn't get to bore you the other night about my Great Uncle at Cambrai during the last 100 days.

Hope you are well,

regards,

Scottie.

Hi Julian,

Sunday morning (hangover allowing) would have been right up your street. Michael Harrison gave a talk on tanks which included the scale model he made some years ago and is now on display at Bovington. For models he's your man! If you want his details email me off line.

Mike
