Remembered Today:

Where to Stay

Hoping to get away to the Somme in September but I'm having a bit of trouble finding anywhere to stay at such short notice.

Can anyone recommend a B&B in the area.

Many thanks

Rob

Thanks for that. I've looked at the thread and unfortunately it deals mainly with hotels which are a little bit out of our reach financially.

I've already tried the B&Bs on Paul Reeds website and they're booked up.

Any other suggestions would be gratefully received.

Many thanks

Rob

Have you tried Les Galets, Auchonvillers? Very reasonable, charming Welsh hostess, superb location, evening meals if you want them. Email me if you want contact.

I'm not sure which ones you have and haven't tried, but I'm sure you will have tried all the ones I'm thinking of except possibly for the place I usually stay at -

Madame Pecourt's house at Mailly Maillet

Lovely house and welcome and great evening meals if you want them. Madame doesn't speak much English though so it's not quite as well-known as some of the others and she might still have some room.

Dear All

Many thanks to all who replied to my original request.

Due to a late cancellation I've managed to book into Avril's. If anyone has any photo requests let me know and I'll do my best.

Regards

Rob
