I have some medals from WW1, Pte H Riley 7354, was he my grandfathers brother, I don't know. he was in the Leicester Regiment, I also have my grandfathers WW11 medals. Any help out there for H Riley

Private Horace Riley, 7354 (later 242300), 2/5th Battalion, Leicestershire Regiment. Died of wounds (listed under the latter number in 'Soldiers Died') 19th November 1917. Born and enlisted in Leicester.

Commonwealth War Graves Commision has him as:

Name: RILEY, JOHN HORACE

Initials: J H

Nationality: United Kingdom

Rank: Private

Regiment: Leicestershire Regiment

Unit Text: 2nd/5th Bn.

Age: 21

Date of Death: 19/11/1917

Service No: 242300

Additional information: Son of Mr. W. and Mrs. M. A. Riley, of 11, Little Lane, Leicester.

Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead

Grave/Memorial Reference: Screen Wall. O1. 290.

Cemetery: LEICESTER (WELFORD ROAD) CEMETERY

Thank you so much, I phoned my 2 remaining uncles in England and they both confirmed the names of my grandfathers parents, i have looked for so many years yet this was so simple....how can I ever thank you
