Guest stephbrown Posted 12 August , 2003 Posted 12 August , 2003 Hi my name is steph brown and I am researching John Herbert Brown who I think served in The Royal field Artillery in 1914 on the Absent voters list for Wellingborough he is entered with his Army no 3rd division S.A.A.S. RFA what do the SAAS stand for?
Jock Bruce Posted 12 August , 2003 Posted 12 August , 2003 Small Arms Ammunition Section ?????? I think the Divisional Ammo Column, which was a RFA unit, had a section responsible for the resupply of SAA in addition to artillery ammunition. Jock
