Might cut it down a bit.

Assuming it's King's Own, the 6th Bn (38 Bde, 13 Div) was at Aldershot Feby - July 1915, and the 8th (76 Bde, 25 Divn) in May - Sept 15. The 11th (120 bde, 40 Div) also, Aug 15 to early 16. The last-named was a Bantam Bn, so do you think the blokes look short enough?

Steve. It must be either the 6th or 8 battalion off what you say then as my grandfather whos on the picture was a machine gunner and not that small.Alan

Thinking about it, Alan, if you find his medal card and date he went overseas, we can probably identify the Bn, as they proceeded to France at different times.

alan,these are the dates for disembarkation for the batts,these are for the main body of the batts.

2nd batt 15th jan 1915

1/4th batt 3rd may 1915

1/5th batt 14th feb 1915

6th batt 6th july 1916

7th batt 17th july 1916

8th batt 27-29th sept 1915

9th batt 4-6th sept 1915
