Steven Broomfield Posted 7 November , 2005 Share Posted 7 November , 2005 Might cut it down a bit. Assuming it's King's Own, the 6th Bn (38 Bde, 13 Div) was at Aldershot Feby - July 1915, and the 8th (76 Bde, 25 Divn) in May - Sept 15. The 11th (120 bde, 40 Div) also, Aug 15 to early 16. The last-named was a Bantam Bn, so do you think the blokes look short enough?
Guest shaw lad Posted 8 November , 2005 Share Posted 8 November , 2005 Steve. It must be either the 6th or 8 battalion off what you say then as my grandfather whos on the picture was a machine gunner and not that small.Alan
Steven Broomfield Posted 8 November , 2005 Share Posted 8 November , 2005 Thinking about it, Alan, if you find his medal card and date he went overseas, we can probably identify the Bn, as they proceeded to France at different times.
