Guest R P Miller Posted 1 November , 2005 Share Posted 1 November , 2005 I was given these photo which had belong to my late mother. I believe that this person is a relation but dont know who, so if somebody can identify what his uniform and what regiment he may have been and if somebody can help, perhaps it will give me a chance of identify him. HarryBettsMCDCM Posted 1 November , 2005 Share Posted 1 November , 2005 Possibly a Yeomanry badge, given the Bandolier,or a Reserve Regiment, the picture is too out of focus for a positive ID,& the badge outline is not immediately recognisable
Rob B Posted 1 November , 2005 Share Posted 1 November , 2005 Harry, Could he be South Irish Horse-just wondering if the cap badge could be the shamrock? Rob
Guest Posted 1 November , 2005 Share Posted 1 November , 2005 could be the shamrock? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't think so. If you enlarge it the shape is defintely wrong, but too much definition is lost to say what it is. Maybe something like a Maltese cross on a circular background? Muerrisch Posted 1 November , 2005 Share Posted 1 November , 2005 photo presumably taken on a high density high gravity planet, hence the crushed aspect.
