Pte Harry Morgan from Cwmllynfell in the Swansea Valley enlisted at Armoury House. His gravestone at Mesnil, bears the inscription in Welsh "He died a martyr for his country. There is an empty space in his mother and father's home."

One of the many empty spaces in homes across the land.

Myrtle - that's really touching. Poor old Harry was (I assume, regarding the entry in the Regtl History) was one two men killed and 5 wounded when 'C' Coy was caught while engaged in fatigue and salvage work.

Yes Steven, the other man was probably Pte Arthur Pechey Spanton from Blackheath, London, who is listed as having been with No. 3 Coy and was buried in the same cemetery.
