Sorry, not much info. He was not an original volunteer. Soldiers Died in the Great War has him as being born and living in Mortimer, Berkshire and he enlisted at Newbury.

At the time of his death the 14th RWR were attacking a position known as African Trench which was part of the Hindenburg Line.
