wilkokcl Posted 18 October , 2005 Share Posted 18 October , 2005 I wonder if anyone can help me track down a soldier which I know very little about. His name is recorded as "Bob Nickells" (spelling?) and I think he may have been in the Territorials pre 1914. Then joined the H.A.C and probably went to France in January 1915. He was at Ypres in March 1915. Not much to go on but I have done the search of the MICs and can't find anyone to match that description. He crops up briefly in my research at Ypres in 1915 and I wonder what he went on to do after that. Minimal information I know, but maybe someone can help me trace his career after that. Cheers, Mark. Stephen Nulty Posted 20 October , 2005 Share Posted 20 October , 2005 The birth of Robert Norman Nickels was recorded in the December quarter of 1890 in Atcham, Shropshire. In the 1901 census, he is shown as a pupil at Malvern Link school, Worcestershire, aged 10. His birth place is shown as Meloc Brace, Shrophire.
