JVB Posted 17 October , 2005 Share Posted 17 October , 2005 Hi, I'm a teacher of a technical school in Belgium. After WWI our school received from Belgian Army a Gnome Rhone 80 HP rotary airplane engine. A couple of years ago it was put again in action with succes ! However : what is still missing, is an oildosepump for the engine. The oil has be mixed with the fuel, like in a twostroke- motor. Now there 's a gearwheel- pump but the quantity is less good. Can anybody help us ? From time to time the motor is lent for a local expo on aeroplanes, like at the last Guynemerexposition in Poelkapelle (where I do live actually !) and next year also for the museum at Zonnebeke. In the future we're dreaming of making a replica aeroplane around it, perhaps a Morane Saulnier Parasol like Guynemer used to fly with during his first victory. Hope someone can help us in one or another way. Adrian Roberts Posted 17 October , 2005 Share Posted 17 October , 2005 Johan You could try the Shuttleworth Collection: http://www.shuttleworth.org/shuttleworth/index.htm Or else the America site www.theaerodrome.com They could help you contact the Old Rhinebeck FlyingMuseum in New York who may have access to such a part.
