Is the above book any good? Enigma Books has reprinted it in 3 softbound books with a combined total of over 2000 pages.

In a word yes. It's the standard work on the origins of the war; although it's about 50 years old, most of its findings are relevant. It's basically an analysis of the published documents (with lengthy excerpts) from just about every nation involved in the 1914 armageddon. Go to any good Uni library and they should have a copy.

Thanks! Where I can find a good uni library in Finland? Our libraries are quite poorly stocked as far as non-Finnish (language) history books go.

Ah, Uncle Joe. Didn't realise you were a WW1 historian too! I frequent AHF and Feldgrau under the same name!
