Stephen Nulty Posted 12 October , 2005 Share Posted 12 October , 2005 I spotted this book in the shop at the weekend. http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0...8517521-2686840 I didn't buy it as I currently have a backlog of reading. Anybody read it and have any comments?
Captain Dave Posted 14 October , 2005 Share Posted 14 October , 2005 Very poignant book that covers peoples reactions to the loss of their loved ones. I would certainly recomend it.
John S Posted 14 October , 2005 Share Posted 14 October , 2005 Not to be confused with 'The Story of the Unknown Warrior' by Michael Gavaghan which tells the story of the selection and events leading to the Unknown Warrior being buried in Westminster Abbey. This is an interesting read as well. Regards John
Hambo Posted 15 October , 2005 Share Posted 15 October , 2005 Picked it up at the airport last week I thought it was well excellant. I too have a backlog but if I see one like that I generally pick it up in case I don't see it again. I read it right away and thought it was very well researched, the soldiers chosen wrote quite extensively about their experiance (where the censor would allow). Get it and read it when you get the chance! Hambo
