Remembered Today:

2nd Battalion Royal Scots Fusiliers

Can anyone tell me where the Battalion were on/around 7th September? I know they were in reserve trenches about 2 miles behind the front line, apparently near the remains of a village which had seen fierce house to house fighting between the French and Germans the previous October (?), but I don't know the actual name of the place. Information sought for a War Memorial project - any help much appreciated. Charles

Further to the above, I also meant to ask about the role of the 2nd RSF at Loos - I'm having problems finding much out about this from my usual 'sources', lots of general info but not the individual battalions. Thanks Charles
