Guest wrighty Posted 3 October , 2005 Share Posted 3 October , 2005 ok i know this is book reviews but i wanted to ask about dvds!!! I've seen some dvds about battles, cambrai in particular. made in a series called Line Of Fire. Which has dvds of lots of battles in WW1 and 2. but if, like me, you find the History Channel and some war dvds frustrating and fake, i wondered if anyone has seen these and whether they are any good. Many dvds use the same film in different battles. For instance they may have the same film of stukas dive bombing in the Battle of France that hey have in the Battle of Britain. This i always find frustrating. So i dont like to buy a dvd called Battle of Cambrai and find its all the same film of guys going 'over the top' as in the Battle of the Somme.!!! Anyone comment? armourersergeant Posted 3 October , 2005 Share Posted 3 October , 2005 have seen and also own, bought by my Mum in one of her great individual moments of glory. Like them, take them with a pinch of salt. Sometimes the narrator seems to continue on in his own way ignoring the 'experts' who nseem to say a slightly different story when they cut to them. That said i did learn from them. regards Arm
