In March 1917 the 7th Norfolks were in thee I.2 sub-sector of the Arras trenches. Can anyone give me this location recognisable on a modern map?

Yours in hope,

Roy

Roy,

The 7th Bn Royal Sussex were there in February 17, It was the left sector of the front line, near the Scarpe, the left hand company of the bn had their trenches on a small island in the scarpe and relief had to be done just before dawn usung on old punt!

Hope this helps to narrow it down for you.

Mandy

I'm sure that somewhere in the diary i have a map with them on i'll look for you and get back to you.
