Hi there,

This info has been given to me this morning by someone in Australia, can anyone can with any further info on Henry France or the job he did ?

"......Henry (Harry) France born Alveley, Shropshire 1894 served in the British Army in the First World War in both India and France.

He was a Sapper in the Royal Engineers in France because he was a blacksmith by apprenticeship.

After the war he often told stories of how he used to run telephone lines in France under fire ......."

Any help or info would be very much appreciated

Kindest Regards

Margaret Sheridan
