Does anyone have any information about the remains of a Somerset Light Infantry soldier recently found in the Boesinghe area.

I understand that during excavations on an industrial estate that the remains of a soldier together with some of his equipment (buttons, rifle plate, part of a grenade, oild tube and 'Somerset' shoulder title) were found.

I would be grateful if anyone can provide a map showing where he was found, and any other information known.

There will be a representative of the Somerset Light Infantry going to his burial in November, and it would be nice to have a bit more information about the poor chap.

Many thanks.

Brendon.

Sorry, Brendon, I have no information about the remains found at Boezinge after April last year, and I have no further information either about the remains of the 3 men found at Boezinge since then and who will be reburied on Monday 14 Nov at Langemark.

But I suppose Frans has.
