Guest Pete Wood Posted 4 December , 2002 Share Posted 4 December , 2002 Can any one tell me where No:2 School of Aerial Gunnery RAF was located in June 1918? Strictly speaking, Number 2 School of Aerial Gunnery (raised in Turnbury) was amalgamated with No 1 school in May 1918. So it didn't exist in the time frame you have given. However on the 29th May 1918, Number 2 School of Aerial Fighting and Gunnery (note the additional title, fighting) was formed - with elements from Number 4 School of Aerial Gunnery - and based in Marske (near Redcar, north Yorks). I'm pretty sure this is correct.
